Ordering a custom item from The Crafting Lair starts with the product, quantity and details you want made. Use this guide to prepare your logo, names or photos and understand the difference between a ready-to-personalize design and a fully custom project.
The options and approval instructions on your chosen product listing apply to that item. Check them before placing an order.
1. Choose the product and quantity
Select the size, color, quantity and any printing or design options offered. A sample is one item when labeled Sample (1). A pack contains the quantity stated in its selector. Check the selected options and cart before paying.
For a coordinated order across several products, send a business-order inquiry or use the party-favor inquiry form.
2. Prepare your artwork
-
Logos: send your original, highest-quality artwork. For listings that request a transparent background, use a transparent PNG rather than a screenshot with a white box behind the logo.
-
Photos: use a clear, well-lit image. For face-based designs, keep the face fully visible and avoid blurry, distant, heavily filtered or cropped images.
-
Names and wording: type the exact spelling, capitalization, date and age you want used. Check phone numbers and website addresses carefully.
-
Colors: choose from the product options. Provide a HEX code only where a custom-color option is offered. Screen colors and printed colors can differ.
-
Inspiration: separate inspiration images from the artwork intended for printing, and explain which details you want used.
Accepted file types, upload size limits and file counts are shown beside the upload control and can vary by product. If a file will not upload or you are unsure whether it is suitable, contact us before ordering.
3. Understand the design option
Ready-to-personalize designs
The pictured layout remains as shown, with the names, age or photo specified by the listing. The birthday, race-car and dinosaur photo playmats do not include a digital proof. Review the photos and your entered details before checkout.
Fully custom designs
Use a listing that offers custom design service for a new theme or layout. Where that listing includes a mockup, review the spelling, artwork, colors and placement before production. Approval requirements and response deadlines are product-specific.
4. Check QR code destinations
For a QR code sign, supply the exact destination for each code and identify its purpose, such as a website, social profile, menu or payment link. Open every destination on your phone before submitting it. Check that it is publicly accessible, and test the finished codes before displaying your sign.
5. Plan production and delivery separately
Tell us the date you need the finished order, not only the event date. Preparation depends on the product, quantity, complete artwork and any required approval. Shipping transit is additional. Faster shipping does not shorten production unless a rush arrangement is separately confirmed.
Read our shipping information or learn about local pickup in Liberty Hill. Wait for your ready notification before collecting an order.
Can I reorder a previous design?
Contact us with your previous order number, the product, new quantity and any changes before ordering if you need help matching the earlier project. Confirm current options and availability rather than assuming an older design or material is still offered.
Can I change details after ordering?
Contact us promptly with your order number and the requested correction. Changes depend on the stage of the order. Do not assume a change is accepted until it is confirmed.
